Igor
Igor
Igor has been performing since his teen years with various groups, both as a leader and a sideman. His ensemble, "Roof," founded in Europe, was a tour de force of Avant-Garde music which drew critical acclaim, and helped establish Moscow, an eastern European city, as an important place of highly creative improvisational music.
Igor's tone is reminiscent of that big late 50s guitar sound, fused with an edge that comes from surviving the assault of the 60s. But Igor's tone is only the background for a writing style that forces the listener's spirit to fly beyond the restrains of our daily limitations and boundaries. On the sheer power of his own strenght, Igor has survived against great odds to keep an artistic vision filled with sense of purpose, heart, and imagination.

Igor
The son of a Russian father and mother, Igor was born in the city of Moscow. He studied piano from the age of six and started to pick up guitar as a teenager. These were the seeds. And the soil, of course, is his homeland of Russia. A composer by training, Igor studied guitar with the famed teacher Michael Esacoff in Moscow, and it was at his insisting to investigate jazz legacy that Igor 's explorations began in intensely serious form. He digged deep into the culture of Be-Bop, the Cool school, and spent time with various Avant-Garde systems, all the while working on a characteristic voice as a guitar player.
Igor
Throughout his musical journey, Igor's output has proven adventures and contradictional, both a natural product of Russia and a planetary act. His work output is a living complex of modern tendencies, comprehensible in all cultures.
